Sample data - not a live forecast

Start with the local dates.

Hong Kong is often best kept local when the forecast offers a usable interval between showers. Put Victoria Peak or a harbour walk inside that interval and rely on dense indoor districts around it. Change the day first; Macau, Shenzhen or Guangzhou should be considered only when the live comparison clearly improves the chosen weather preference.

Hong Kong combines Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories on a compact but strongly varied coastal and hilly territory. Victoria Peak rises to 552 metres and looks across the harbour and islands. Heat, humidity, rain and cloud can therefore change a viewpoint plan much more than a covered urban itinerary.

What changes the shape of a local day?

Victoria Peak visibility

The Peak is an elevated viewpoint over the harbour and islands; low cloud or rain can remove the main value of the climb, so use cloud and precipitation together.

Harbour heat and wind

The territorys coastal setting can produce humid or breezy open sections; compare temperature and wind before choosing a full waterfront day.

Directions, not permanent winners.

Pearl River direction

Shenzhen offers a mainland urban alternative with a different exposure, but a lower rain number alone is not enough to justify the change.

Southern harbour direction

Macau changes the scale and waterfront character; it may differ in cloud or wind while retaining open-shore trade-offs.
