Sample data - not a live forecastStart with the local dates.
London is worth keeping when the forecast can support a compact mix of streets, river edges and indoor stops. Change the day before changing the city: a better local window can preserve the Thames, parks and museums without adding a second weather system or a journey to the plan.
The Thames runs through a broad, mostly level urban basin, while Hyde Park is a large open space divided by the Serpentine. That combination makes the capital flexible but exposed. A dry forecast can still feel awkward on bridges and open lawns when wind rises; a mixed forecast can work if the indoor part stays close to the chosen neighbourhood.

Thames edges and bridges
Use wind beside precipitation when the plan depends on a long riverside walk; an apparently dry window may still feel exposed along the tidal river.
Large open parks
Hyde Park and the wider chain of central parks leave little shelter during persistent showers, so the forecast window should decide whether open-air sections lead or follow indoor stops.
Directions, not permanent winners.
University-city direction
Oxford and Cambridge offer compact historic cores and a different balance of open quads, river edges and indoor visits; only a complete forecast window can justify the change.
South-coast direction
Brighton changes the exposure from river and park to a more open coast. It may improve cloud or rain while adding sea wind, so the trade-off must remain visible.
