Starting in Seoul

Stay, switch or go from Seoul.

Compare visibility, wind and temperature with coastal and smaller-city options around the capital region.

Sample data - not a live forecast

Start with the local dates.

Seoul is usually better handled by choosing the right local elevation and district than by travelling. Keep Namsan or another viewpoint for the clearest, calmest period and use dense neighbourhoods when visibility falls or rain arrives. Change the day before the city unless the live comparison shows a meaningful gain.

Seoul is a large capital region with Namsan, a 270-metre peak in the central district offering hiking and skyline views. The city's dense streets can remain useful when the hill is cloudy or windy, making local sequencing a stronger response than chasing a nearby forecast headline.

What changes the shape of a local day?

Namsan visibility and wind

Namsan's elevation and open viewpoints make cloud and wind more consequential than in sheltered streets; reserve it for the most reliable window.

Urban heat and dense districts

Seoul combines high-density neighbourhoods with exposed hill paths, so temperature can change the comfort of a walking plan even when rain is limited.

Directions, not permanent winners.

Westward coastal direction

Incheon shifts the comparison toward the coast and can trade visibility for wind; show the difference rather than labelling it better.

Southern satellite direction

Suwon offers a smaller-scale historic and urban alternative; it may be easier to cover in a broken window, but only the live data can justify moving.

Editorial directions are context only. Live candidates come from verified, active city records and comparable forecasts.
